Who May Be Eligible
California’s End of Life Option Act establishes specific requirements for medical aid in dying. Eligibility must be determined through the appropriate clinical and legal process.
18 years of age or older
Living with an incurable and irreversible terminal illness
A prognosis that meets the requirements of California law
Able to make informed medical decisions
Making the request voluntarily
Able to self-administer the prescribed medication
Eligibility requirements are established by California law and must be confirmed through the required clinical process.
Your Choice
Learning about aid in dying is part of understanding your end-of-life choices. Asking questions or beginning the process does not obligate you to proceed. Our role is to provide information and support while respecting your decisions at every step.
